The working world!

FiRsT WeEk @ WoRk

Well, my first week at work was kinda fun. The office is superb. The working space is really neat n nice. The pantry has a bar setup, but unfortunately they don't serve liquor... hahaha. My work hasn't really started yet. Still reading some documents related to work, n 2mrw onwards i'll be doin technical training already. So, if all goes well, i'll be hands-on by friday. This area has a real future for me. Really thank god for putting me here. Made a couple of frens. In fact, i knew them before i joined the company d. So its not so lonely..... hehehe. The only set back is, the travelling expenses are crazy, coz the office is situated in cyberjaya. Currently my working hours are 10am to 8pm, but i dun work on Mondays. According to my boss, my 12hour shift work will start next month, but i'll only b working 3nights/days a week.

"Either Or"

I learnt a very valuable lesson this past few weeks. Actually i've been exposed to this lesson many times already, but i never really analyzed it thoroughly. Well, most things in life, its EITHER you have it, OR you don't. Its often an "EITHER OR" situation. For example, in Music, its EITHER you have it OR you don't. There are born musicians, and there are made musicians. A 'made musician' can only go so far in his musical 'so called' talent. This is because, music happens to be his weakness instead of his strength(born with it). Therefore, no matter how hard he works on his 'self-developed' or 'made' talent, he can only go a certain distance. Where as, a born musician, is born with his musical talents, n it happens to be his strength. Therefore, he just needs to work n develope that 'born-with' talent, n he'll reach places...

Well, that was juz one example of an "EITHER OR" situation. The lesson i learnt was about the 'either or' situation in the following example. If two ppl of the opposite sex were to spend an ample amount of time with each other, there's a huge possibility that both of them might become emotionally attached to each other. In other words, they'll grow to love each other's company n attention. It doesn't mean that they have fallen in love with each other, its juz that, they've reached a level where they're very comfortable with each other's presence. In simpler terms, they just love hangin out with each other. Once this level has been reached, its very risky for both parties to carry on in their 'relationship', as feelings of both parties will grow. And this is where the "either or" situation kicks in, as they are only two areas their feelings can grow towards. Its EITHER one party eventually falls in love with the other, OR one party reaches a state where the other party is such an amazing FRIEND, and thats it. If both parties were to fall into the same category of any kind, which in most cases it does, it will be amazingly beatifull n joyful, coz the feelings are mutual.

The tragic part is, if both parties were to fall into different categories; this would cause chaos in their relationships n especially in their hearts. However, situations like this are unavoidable. Those who unfortunately end up in situations like this, their only choice would be, to make the best of it, and move on in life, coz nothing's gonna change a state of mind/heart that says, "he/she is an amazing friend, but thats it, nothing more!".

I read this once; when you fall in love with someone, its EITHER you have it, OR you don't, towards that person. But rest assured, there will be someone that you'll come across, where watever you have, will be sufficient. Read it in some online thingy. Cant remember where or when. Cant remember the exact sentence, but the gist of it is the same.
